Benefits of Surah Yaseen
Aslam Walikum My all dear Muslim Brother and sister, today we talk about Benefits of Surah Yaseen. The Holy Quran has the highest authority in Islam as it is the words of Allah SWT sent down from the heavens for us Muslims to practice and learn from, especially the teachings and way of life of our beloved prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Allah SWT mentions in the Quran that: “We send down (stage by stage) in the Qur’an that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the unjust it causes nothing but loss after loss.” (17:82). When reciting the Quran, Allah SWT sends down upon you His mercy and heals your soul from worries, sins as well as diseases.
The Holy Quran heals broken hearts and restores peace and hope inside you. For such reasons, some Surahs are read for this purpose, and one of those surahs is surah Yaseen. So here are 8 Benefits of Surah Yaseen
The heart of the Quran:
Surah Yaseen is known as the heart of the Holy Quran, mentioned by our beloved Prophet Mohammed SAW: There is a heart in everything; the heart of the Qur’an is Surah Yaseen.” [1 Tirmidhi (Hadith: 2887].
Verily the heart is one of the most vital organs of the human body and is the most delicate. Therefore, reciting the heart of the Quran will only benefit one’s soul.
Aqeedah (belief):
For being the heart of the Quran, it focuses on Aqeedah (belief). There are three things at the core of Aqeedah: Tawheed (Oneness of Allah), Risaalah (Prophethood), and the Aakhirah (Hereafter). In other words, surah Yaseen mentions the existence of Allah (SWT), a story regarding the messengers, the signs of Allah’s SWT Oneness, the day of Judgment, and defending our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), etc.
Reciting Surah Yaseen every day/ morning:
Reciting Surah Yaseen every day will only bring peace to your heart and soul. Undoubtedly its effects are never wasted as Allah’s SWT words have been sent down to us to guide us through life and help us reach our ultimate destination, Jannah (heaven) Insha Allah, and to protect us from His punishment .ie hellfire.

Surah Yaseen and forgiveness of sins:
Allah SWT forgives your sins when you recite surah Yaseen. This is vital for us Muslims as we are not perfect creatures and make mistakes intentionally and or unintentionally. Therefore, surah Yaseen has been sent down to us for this purpose that Allah SWT will have mercy on us and forgive us. As our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “One who recites Surah Yaseen in the whole night merely seeking Allah’s will, Allah Almighty would remove all his sins.” [2].
Eases death:
If surah Yaseen forgives one’s sins, then surely it eases one’s death when recited. As our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) mentioned that, “if one is dying, you should recite Surah Yasin for him.” [4]. He also said: “The one who is about to die should read Surah Yaseen so that Allah makes it easy for him.”[5].
With sins being forgiven, surah Yaseen will purify the soul of the dead/ dying so that when he meets his creator, he is free from sin and has a pure soul, easing his tests of the grave.
Fulfilling needs:
Not only does surah Yaseen forgive sins and ease one’s death, but it also fulfills one’s needs. If you are in a problem or your heart is uneasy, and you wish for something, recite surah Yaseen and see how Allah SWT changes your life. Allah SWT acknowledges the person who recites Surah Yaseen and fulfills his needs as our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “One who recites Surah Yaseen in the morning, Allah Almighty will be responsible for fulfilling all his needs.” [6].
Benefits of surah yaseen for marriage
Our life is full of hardship and tests. It is up to us to turn to our almighty when in need. Therefore surah Yaseen has been sent down to us for many reasons that benefit us alone and our needs, as only Allah SWT knows what troubles are inside your heart, and reciting the heart of the Quran will only ease your heartache.
Rewards of surah Yaseen:
In the Hadith of Anas (RA), it is mentioned that when one recites surah Yaseen, it is as if he has repeated the whole Quran ten times. This clearly shows the importance of the surah. Therefore, it is very beneficial for one to recite Yaseen every day as it will be rewarded as if they have read the whole Quran.
